Stop Smoking, Vaping & Weed with Hypnotherapy
Quit Nicotine and Cannabis addiction without withdrawal symptoms in 2-4 appointments
How hypnotherapy helps you stop smoking, vaping and weed
Hello, I’m Ailsa Frank, a UK-based hypnotherapist with over twenty years’ experience connecting with clients worldwide. I can help you too to let go of cigarettes, vapes and weed so you can feel calm without and back in control.
Most smokers and vapers already know the health risks. What keeps you stuck is the habit in your mind: reaching for a cigarette, vape or joint when you’re stressed, bored, socialising or trying to relax. Hypnotherapy works at the subconscious level, where those routines and emotional triggers are stored, so change feels more natural instead of a constant willpower battle.
In your stop-smoking hypnotherapy sessions I work with you on:
- Letting go of the habit of cigarettes, roll-ups, electronic and nicotine vapes
- Stopping associations of smoking weed (cannabis) or mixing tobacco and weed in joints
- Releasing cravings and withdrawal feelings
- Breaking the link between nicotine/cannabis, for time-out
Creating a new identity as a non-smoker / non-vaper
Hypnotherapy helps:
- Dissolve urges to smoke or vape
- Reduce the “automatic hand-to-mouth” habit
- Calms anxiety, irritability and that “edgy” feeling when you quit
- Deal with emotions behind your smoking habit
Instead of feeling deprived, you begin to feel relieved that you no longer need cigarettes, vapes or weed to cope. Most clients finish this first session feeling unusually calm and “different” about smoking – as if a switch has been flicked.
“Hypnotherapy was very worthwhile – if you want to give up, it works.”
Sonia, Hertfordshire

Is This For You?
- You light up or vape automatically with coffee, a drink or after meals
- You smoke or vape more when stressed, lonely, bored or upset
- You’ve switched from cigarettes to vaping but now feel addicted to the vape
- You use weed to “switch off”, sleep or cope with life and want a healthier way
- You’re worried about your lungs, heart or mental health but feel stuck
- You’ve tried to quit before but always end up back smoking
- You have tried willpower without success
- You are ready for real, lasting change
If any of the following sound like you, hypnotherapy could be the breakthrough you’ve been looking for.
About the Hypnotherapy Appointments
I’ll guide you step by step to achieve lasting change.
Where do the sessions take place?
At home on the phone: I connect with English-speaking clients worldwide (UK, Europe, USA, Australia) via phone or WhatsApp audio, which works exceptionally well for hypnotherapy.
In-Person: I also see clients face-to-face at clinics at the Portland Clinic in Wimpole Street, London (W1) or in St Albans.

The First Appointment
90 Minutes: The first half is a relaxed discussion. We talk about what is going on in your life and what you want to work on. We discuss patterns, triggers and goals. In the second half, I guide you through a tailored hypnotherapy session to release root causes and begin making changes immediately. You can cover multiple issues in each session.

Follow-up appointments
60–75 Minutes: These are usually spaced two weeks apart to reinforce the changes and address any new layers that come up. Each session deepens the changes. You can have a top up at time in the future. Some clients like to have regular sessions to deal with life , work and business issues as they arise.

How many appointments?
I typically work with clients over 2 to 4 appointments. I believe in a bespoke approach, some hypnotherapists might try to sign you up for a long, expensive course. I don't work that way. I start with a minimum of two appointments, with further sessions booked only based on your individual needs.

Max, Wokingham
I was worried about the cost of the hypnotherapy but I have had my money back already by not buying cigarettes. It has made giving up painless, craving free and so easy.
Fiona, Edinburgh
I smoked for 25 years without even trying to give as I enjoyed smoking so much. It was ingrained into my life and everything I did so I decided to use nicotine chewing gums to support me alongside the hypnotherapy. It worked really well as my mind became used to the changes I found it easier to stop smoking. After a while the chewing just sort of faded away. The hypnotherapy gave me the will to make the change and changed my perception of the cigarettes.
Jayne, Bristol
Dealing with the stress of my divorce and work pressures gave me the ability to let go of the cigarettes. The hypnotherapy also helped let go of the routine of smoking.
David, London
Hypnotherapy was an easy way to let go of cravings and addiction to cigarettes. Finally, I am smoke-free!

What exactly is hypnotherapy?
Think of hypnotherapy as a fully conscious, deep relaxation. It feels a bit like that lovely, heavy moment when you wake up in the morning but can’t be bothered to get up yet. It’s like running a new software in your subconscious. During your appointment you are safe, in control, and awake the whole time.
Hypnotherapy makes your mind more receptive to positive suggestions so you can make changes easily.
- Switch off the “automatic” smoking, vaping or weed routine
- Reduce the urge to reach for nicotine or cannabis to cope
- Build a strong self-image as a calm, healthy non-smoker / non-vaper
- Unhook the emotional ties to cigarettes, vapes or weed
Many people say it feels natural as if they have always been a non-smoker as their mind takes on the changes.
Before booking
You might feel sceptical or worried that it "won't work for you." That is completely normal. Most of my clients say they wish they had done this sooner.
Do any of these sound familiar?
Automatic Smoking or Vaping: Lighting up or vaping without thinking: with coffee, after meals, in the car, or on breaks.
Stress Relief That Backfires: Reaching for cigarettes, a vape, or weed to calm nerves, unwind, or cope, but feeling worse afterwards.
Stuck in a Cycle: Promising yourself you’ll quit “from tomorrow,” only to find yourself smoking again within days.
Hidden Habits: Smoking alone, sneaking vapes, or using weed to switch off or sleep.
Emotional Dependence: Smoking, vaping, or using weed when bored, lonely, anxious, or overwhelmed.
Health Impact: Worried about your lungs, heart, energy, focus, or mental health, but feeling unable to stop.
Repeated Failed Attempts: You’ve tried patches, gums, vapes, apps, or willpower, and nothing has stuck.
If you answered “yes” to any of these, you don’t need more willpower: you need the right tools. I can help you make changes on the deep part of your mind.
