Break the cycle of sleepless nights and wake refreshed in 2–4 appointments.
Hello, I’m Ailsa Frank. I am a leading hypnotherapist in the UK, and have been connecting with clients around the world for over twenty years, I have helped thousands of people (just like you) to switch off their racing minds and get a good night’s sleep.
Sleep issues are ingrained on the deep part of your mind. Hypnotherapy works on the subconscious level to reprogram you and create new neural pathways so you can sleep naturally.
My clients range from stressed employees or business owners to exhausted parents and students facing exam pressure. We often think of insomnia or sleep problems as something we just have to "live with," or we rely on medication that leaves us groggy. But usually, poor sleep is simply a habit of the mind: an inability to switch from "alert mode" to "rest mode."
Your hypnotherapy appointments with me will help you release the habit of waking up, dissolve the anxiety around bedtime, and quieten the "chatter" in your brain. We will deal with the underlying emotional triggers, whether that is work stress, health anxieties, relationship worries, past trauma or simply an overactive imagination.
My sleep program allows you to regain control of your nights. I will teach you relaxation techniques and mental strategies to "power down" your brain. Eventually, falling asleep deeply and staying asleep will become second nature again.
“Last night I slept so well, it's the first time in years!”
Gill, Ascot

My approach is designed for people who want to sleep naturally again, without relying on pills, alcohol, or sheer exhaustion.
You don’t need to have “severe insomnia.” Many of my clients function well on the surface but feel permanently tired underneath. If any of the following sound like you, this work could make a real difference
I’ll guide you step by step to achieve lasting change.
At home on the phone: I connect with English-speaking clients worldwide (UK, Europe, USA, Australia) via phone or WhatsApp audio, which works exceptionally well for hypnotherapy.
In-Person: I also see clients face-to-face at clinics at the Portland Clinic in Wimpole Street, London (W1) or in St Albans.

90 Minutes: The first half is a relaxed discussion. We talk about what is going on in your life and what you want to work on. We discuss patterns, triggers and goals. In the second half, I guide you through a tailored hypnotherapy session to release root causes and begin making changes immediately. You can cover multiple issues in each session.

60–75 Minutes: These are usually spaced two weeks apart to reinforce the changes and address any new layers that come up. Each session deepens the changes. You can have a top up at time in the future. Some clients like to have regular sessions to deal with life , work and business issues as they arise.

I typically work with clients over 2 to 4 appointments. I believe in a bespoke approach, some hypnotherapists might try to sign you up for a long, expensive course. I don't work that way. I start with a minimum of two appointments, with further sessions booked only based on your individual needs.

Each session helped me feel better and gradually my sleep rebalanced. In the beginning, I was impatient but now I can see working through the layers of problems allowed me to get a long-term solution. Thanks.

The best money I have ever spent, how can you put a price on a good nights sleep!
I did the hypnosis recording every night for a few weeks and then began to sleep through the night.

I listened to the sleep hypnosis download with scepticism, when it finished I thought I must turn the player off. The next thing it was morning and as it said on the hypnosis download I woke at the perfect time fully refreshed!
The hypnotherapy has improved my sleep quite considerably, most nights I sleep right through.
I sleep like a log after listening to the sleep hypnosis recording. Thanks
I stopped sleeping after the sudden loss of my husband, but the hypnotherapy now allows me to sleep deeply.

I spent years not sleeping, lying awake saying, why can't I sleep? But the phone appointments released all my fears and stresses. I also liked your hypnosis bedtime recording, which put me out like a light. I never heard the end of it. I sleep like a puppy now and bounce out of bed in the morning with enthusiasm. Thanks, Ailsa.
Isabel from the USA
Think of hypnotherapy as a fully conscious, deep relaxation. It feels a bit like that lovely, heavy moment when you wake up in the morning but can’t be bothered to get up yet. You are safe, in control, and awake the whole time.
In this relaxed state, your mind is more open to positive suggestions. Your insomnia is often just a "stress programme" running in the background of your mind. The hypnotherapy acts like a software update: we rewrite that programme, telling your brain that the bed is a safe place for rest, not for thinking. It is a powerful shift that helps you let go of the day.
I do a tailored hypnotherapy session to calm your nervous system and begin re-wiring your brain for sleep.
You might feel sceptical or worried that it "won't work for you." That is completely normal. Most of my clients say they wish they had done this sooner.
Racing Mind: You feel tired all day, but as soon as your head hits the pillow, your brain wakes up and starts listing tomorrow's to-do list.
The 3 AM Club: You fall asleep easily but wake up abruptly in the middle of the night and cannot get back to sleep.
Sunday Night Dread: You sleep okay on Fridays and Saturdays, but anxiety about the work week ruins your Sunday sleep.
Teeth Grinding: You wake up with a sore jaw or headache (Bruxism) due to tension.
Clock Watching: You panic as you watch the hours tick by, calculating how little sleep you will get.
Health Impact: Feeling sluggish, gaining weight, or worrying about health issues.
Bedtime crutches: You need alcohol, pills, or the TV on to drift off.
Mental Exhaustion: You feel sluggish, irritable, or foggy during the day.
If you answered "yes" to any of these, you just need the right tools to change and I can help you.
If you aren't ready for one-to-one sessions yet, you can begin listening immediately with my Feel Amazing Hypnotherapy App. It features over 60 recordings.
Full Access: Costs less than £1 per week (£45 annual membership or £7.99 monthly).
6 free titles for everyone.

Hypnotherapy is a practical tool to calm the central nervous system. While famous for habit breaking, research confirms it is highly effective for treating insomnia and sleep disorders.
Why sleep mattersWe spend about a third of our lives sleeping. It is as essential to our bodies as food and water. When we sleep, our bodies repair cells, our brains process information, and our hormones regulate. Without it, our physical and mental health suffers rapidly.
Clinical EvidenceStudies have shown that hypnotherapy can reduce the time it takes to fall asleep (sleep latency) and increase the duration of deep, restorative sleep (slow-wave sleep). By lowering cortisol levels (the stress hormone), hypnotherapy moves the body out of "fight or flight" and into "rest and digest."

Facts about Sleep DeprivationIf you are struggling, it is important to take action before it impacts your long-term health.
Mental Health: Chronic sleep problems are strongly linked to anxiety and depression.
Immune System: Lack of sleep weakens your immune defence, making you more susceptible to viruses.
Weight Gain: Sleep deprivation disrupts the hormones that control appetite, often leading to weight gain.
Focus & Safety: Fatigue is a leading cause of accidents on the road and creates a lack of productivity at work.
You don't have to become a statistic. Hypnotherapy helps break the cycle of sleeplessness from the subconscious mind while dealing with the emotional reasons behind the wakefulness, allowing you to move forward quickly with new, restful, and happy habits.

Gentle daily support for stress, sleep, anxiety, alcohol and habits.
